Four generations. That’s what the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Chiapas, Mexico, looks like since the first church began there in 1978. That first church in the city of San Cristobel de las Casas is responsible for starting some 40 more congregations throughout this southern Mexico region. Church leaders there report that people are seeking God, but the members need decent church homes. Most worship in poor structures, or in no building at all.
“Seventh-day Adventist congregations in Mexico are asking for help,” says Don Noble, president of Maranatha. “And because Mexico is so close to the United States, many volunteers who couldn’t necessarily afford to travel around the world can now build churches closer to home.”
We hope you’ll join us in providing church homes for the people of Mexico. Volunteer on a project or donate funds today.
