Since 1998 Maranatha has worked with the Seventh-day Adventist Church in India to construct churches and schools. More than 1,600 projects have been completed throughout this country of 1 billion people. Eighty percent are Hindu while Christians make up only 2.4 percent of the population.
Maranatha is currently building large Christian school campuses in rural parts of India. These boarding schools each provide for nearly 1,200 students.
The Seventh-day Adventist school in Cuddapah is complete, however funds are still needed. Work has begun on the Ongole school campus, and volunteers and donations are needed to complete the work there. Visit the project calendar for more information.
