Maranatha’s work in Cuba began in 1994 after a local pastor approached a Maranatha board member about the great need for churches. The organization has since built and remodeled more than 200 church sanctuaries in Cuba. “We've almost tripled the membership since Maranatha came here,” says Daniel Fontaine, president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Cuba. “Without them, I don't know what would have become of us in our country.”

Maranatha’s current project near Havana is building a worship center on the Adventist Seminary campus, which is known for inspiring young people to reach new heights of ministry. The new church sanctuary will also be a tremendous place of outreach to the local community.
